What a Wet Spring Can Bring
In my yard two false morels lay flat in the grass
Looking like compost or what an animal may pass
Not the treat you’d like to eat, steam or stew.
This poisonous mushroom is not for you!

Elfje and haiku :
Love the Rain
from the sky
absent in so many
fluid, liquid, wet
angels tears, gentle or fierce
helps all things to grow

Karma is cause and effect. Dharma means cosmic law.
Yoga is enlightenment through movement and Tao is the
practice of acting in harmony with the fundamental essence
of everything you encounter.
Note: my haiku (or other forms) are my interpretations
or of how I might put the inspirational sentence
into practice, for me. Also, I am going in my own order.
last April day
will May bring brilliant
drums, cymbals – clash, bang
rain drops speckle
my picture window – still wet
soon to dry…

*protected rain way
still quite wet
harbors secret life
as damselflies flutter and mate
a lone tadpole
swims east in the gully
*This is just one of our neighborhood water run offs which spills into the creek,
and often can at times be bone dry.
We’ve had a wet spring.

The morning flow of birds
Seek raiment in the wet grass
That surrounds the asphalt lot
And from the puddles from last nights’ rain –
Little oasis’ soon to dry up with the sun rising
