The Write Words
(Shadorma, pi ku, Cherita)

Little Miss
Has a Grama day –
Jam packed full;
Walk, play, lunch,
Snacks, making booklets, games, and
Filling the feeder

a little
nap
gives Gram a rest

Some days teachers need off too

To recharge and rewrite lessons
For those in their care –

Different schools have different days
So, while Little Miss was here today –
Son of Son’s turn is on Friday

Dressed and Ready?
(Septolet, Sedoka, haiku, pi ku, Shadorma)

Schedules
Make the man
But distress
Echoes
When plans fail

Crossed wires
Coax worry

“But she said she would…
An hour ago – the car sits
in the driveway, and no one
Returns messages
I’ve left three” – the man worries
Where is his grocery ride?

Is oversleeping
An excuse, when dawn rises
In his east window?

All’s well when
she
Finally wakes

Plan B gets
Sidelined when ‘she’ calls
Then he calls
And cancels
The backup that panic sought
When the day began

stagnant pondering
(two sedoka, shadorma, haiku)

it does seem that our
best conversations are when
we do not talk with voices
since we appear to
lack respect for each others
individuality

written word does not
work either, especially
when unopened letters get
thrown in the trash for
the fear of truth to cut our
carefully placed barbed fences

where does that
leave us…without trust
we cannot
move forward
and just maybe that would be
the best thing for us?

hollow bamboo has
a hidden strength that we two
have yet to secure

BE8: A Love Exchange

I almost
stepped upon one huge
crawler, there
on the walk,
without pause, I did rescue
the caterpillar

Booty?

we have
played the
same game of life with different
rules; and could both win – if
we think
outside of
the box
*
still gasping
holding back my tears
not wanting
to be harsh
you have to understand that
opinions differ
*
the box
inside of
it could
hold a multitude of delightful treasure
but you refuse to polish that
which you
don’t want

Karma is cause and effect. Dharma means cosmic law.
Yoga is enlightenment through movement and Tao is the
practice of acting in harmony with the fundamental essence
of everything you encounter.

Note: My haiku (or other forms) are my interpretations
or of how I might put the inspirational sentence
into practice, for me. Also, I am going in my own order.
