Just Karma 54 for March 2016 wp

Just Karma 54
…out and about…
three haiku

our three errands to
the same store…same parking spot
now that’s just karma?

chair feet protectors
light bulbs, exchanges, nice that
the place is so close

also on the way
to other destinations;
one last eve foray

Karma is cause and effect. Dharma means cosmic law.
Yoga is enlightenment through movement and Tao is the
practice of acting in harmony with the fundamental essence
of everything you encounter.

Note: My haiku (or other forms) are my interpretations
or of how I might put the inspirational sentence
into practice, for me. Also, I am going in my own order.

Just Karma 11 for June 2015 wp

summer (shhh) solstice

the longest day; there
on the window short lived bug
the unique mayfly rests, still
quieter yet lay
those entombed, stone markers scar
a dreamless green resting place

Note: I actually visited the cemetery first…
…don’t think I’d ever seen a mayfly so close.

may return with me in July

pause in any place
in any given moment
refocus and see

close your eyes and look inward
where rainbows illuminate

see and refocus
in any given moment
place the perfect pause

a grief fills that place

a grief fills that place

a grief fills that place
where her love should have gone; and
so tears are still shed

disease grew. she left babies
no comfort can match her loss

Early Thanksgiving

Early Thanksgiving

olive branches,
offerings of peace
make nestling in the world
of doubts and shadows
seem like a safer place
to dwell…

olive branches,
along with their
useful fruit to be shared;
save the pit, grow a tree
it may take some nurturing
and time…

olive branches,
extending the reach
of the unspoken word;
take it, grab it, hug it –
smile without expectations
and breathe
