Helping Hands
(OctaTimbre in eight words in ten lines)

Misty most fog rolled in this autumn morning
Enough to engage some umbrellas and windshield wipers
That I might not have known about at
An early hour, except for the emergency call
Both husband and son (not living at home) –
Volunteer and were needed – five o’clock this morning
So, that left me to take my grandson
To school, after Mommy dropped him off on
Her way to work… never a dull moment
Around these parts… maybe I will nap today

morning walk was short-
then rain…errands, misty – and
an afternoon jaunt

followed by more chilled rain – how
many weekends in a row

has it been since the
sun has been out all the day –
summer weather hides

a cool May morning
stroll about; unexpected
service call – waited…

hired to topseal the driveway;
the job is done and paid for

my car, on the street
for the night – instead of in
the garage… I’ll live…

Note: Somewhere between the (g/s) or gem scheduled posts
I’ll be unplugged. So I’ll be getting further behind on catching
up on comments. Silence is golden. I’ll have paper and pen
and will be writing about my adventure to share upon my return.
