Ik 385 for December 2016 wp

Ik 385 (for D.S.)
voilà and there!
*
Friends
From afar
Give us inspiration
To try new things
So…
*
take a poetic form
from here
and then there, mix, match, stir, voilà
*
to make one
be
generous, true

good fortune right now.

Translations of voilà as an adverb; here, this, that is and there
*
Karma is cause and effect. Dharma means cosmic law.
Yoga is enlightenment through movement and Tao is the
practice of acting in harmony with the fundamental essence
of everything you encounter.

Note: My Elfjie; five line verse of 11 words and
line/syllable count; tau ku : 1/6, 2/2, 3/8 and or pi ku: 1/3, 2/1, 3/4
are my interpretations of how I might put the inspirational sentence
into practice, for me. Also, I am going in my own order.

(Note: getting billed twice for the same
service may be the ‘root’ of the issue.
So now it is just a matter of sorting paperwork.
The initial shock of the amount due quickened
the heart, but froze the gaze, like a deer caught
in headlights . – Yes, I find inspiration for poetry
everywhere…)

Smaller than haiku: line/syllable count
tau ku : 1/6, 2/2, 3/8
pi ku: 1/3, 2/1, 3/4

9.25 plaited prompts: …the emperor ate…

(Perhaps if the emperor had eaten more apples?)

a memento mori poem with these words:
trance, track, skin, emperor, popcorn, bacon

And just because it Too, Too – fits…   Q 25 T 10

http://imprompt.wordpress.com/2014/09/25/too-too/

a tale retold in memento mori:
…the emperor ate…

bacon was the fat
the emperor ate, popcorn
with too much butter

in a trance with his mirror;
not looking at skin sagging

lost track of his life;
sly tailors’ embarrassment –
naked to his own death

coffin closed; who was the first;
and the last mourner? the child

clear lesson here;
moderation is the key –
serve it up daily
