11.19 haiku series: …until… (two prompts)

once green the chestnut
at dusk is withered; brown, gone,
buried by squirrel

dawns’ balloon sun hides
in the chill of this winter
fifteen degree – morn

layer your clothing
huddle in the crowd, stay warm
until blossoms bloom

August 14

three haiku:

quick silver fish tail
shimmers in the muddy creek
hears the ‘bass’ of self

~

gentle morning rain
garden veggies drink their fill
harmonic whether?

~

summer fledglings left
huddle in the porch eaves’ nest
sing for their breakfast
