grassy game fields
a few tar paved trails
end; but go on and on for

Scheduled for Tues May 16
Just Karma 230 (Elfje series)
The Numbers Game
The recorded statistics
Is that a bit
To just sit
That is very silently
Closed eyes to
Just hear perhaps absolutely
bask in beauty
when being forced to
play another persons game;
understand the rules
set aside false shame that drags
the joy from your own living
especially when your heart
wants two champions
Inspired by: Refuse to feel humiliation.
Karma is cause and effect. Dharma means cosmic law.
Yoga is enlightenment through movement and Tao is the
practice of acting in harmony with the fundamental essence
of everything you encounter.
Note: My haiku (or other forms) are my interpretations
or of how I might put the inspirational sentence
into practice, for me. Also, I am going in my own order.
(*renga as I learned – two haiku of 5,7,5 with a middle segment of two lines of 7 syllables.)
Just Karma 29
(free verse/ Elfje/ free verse)
silence is said to be golden.
understanding yours is puzzling –
understanding you is puzzling –
do you think I am heartless
because I enjoy silence?
that in this
game of tag – you’re
no news is said to be good…and
you do know where to find me.
I’m not hiding from your or your friends,
silence doesn’t have to have a color –
silence can be peaceful.
the game is afoot in dreamland as the evolution flows
from escapes from odd buildings, and old toys to comfort
children while traveling – too not enough turkey …on the list;
go to market after going to work and the spinning of rearranging
tables and chairs – moving evidence or evidently stuff that was
left – it’s all a mystery blending TV shows, real jobs, detectives,
crimes and lunch breaks…too many turning themselves in – the
babbling of sequels and serials, relating scripted tales, getting
kudos from a guy (one boss?) with too many E’s in his name
…pearls speckled with green -buried for years finally found…
who or what was in jeopardy?
at the very least
there were no alarms ringing –
waking was easy
dreams often flutter like pompous grass –
taking turns we least expect 🙂
It’s a game really.
I picked up a deluxe edition – real wood pieces and all.
For hubby for his birthday. Never used, still in plastic…
From the charity shop – Now here’s the game…
You guess the price?
I’ll even give you a clue; It was purchased
during their Anniversary sale where everything
was half off the prices marked.
Now there is a game that I enjoy scoring big on –
Finding good bargains, while making both my wallet
And my hubby happy.
You don’t have to watch the whole thing, but this is what the item I bought looks like.
He doesn’t say how much it was. I’ve looked but can’t find the one I have. Other deluxe
sets can go for sixty to over two hundred dollars. Standard deluxe (?) maybe thirty.
But I didn’t pay that either.
Engraved, her name;
Olive – on the bowling ball –
My hand fit
And I wondered
Did she ever bowl a
Perfect threehundred game?
In this alley
built in the nineteen-fifties
In Fort Lauderdale…
