(g) early gems (5.4)

early gems
(three haiku)

1
chilly morning clear
enough for adventure and
discoveries

2
a memorial
semi hidden up the trail;
beam from the tower…

3
ducklings group about
their mother in the pond by
the library path

Just Karma 75
timing
(three 3,5,3 haiku series)

a late start
on a cool spring day
we laugh, play

early lunch –
after some fresh air;
stroller ride

a long nap
allows for quiet
afternoon

Just Karma 20

gonna catch a worm

out bound, not quite on the plane
one night near the airport
early rise, flight and then home

Created by Dennis L. Dean. The American 767 is:
a tristich, a poem in 3 lines. (Cool thing to know!)
syllabic, 7-6-7 syllables per line. Unrhymed.
The original prompt asked to include a bug. Not sure if that is part of the script.
But then I often go of script 🙂

*Posting tonight since I’ll be tight on time tomorrow
until I arrive at my front door.*

Chilled…

Chilled…

no Venus, no moon, no stars
clouded sky, winds and more…snow
with just a slight break on the radar map
showing ice is on the way –
the only notice posted ‘two hour delay’

I was reminded that winter
is but at the halfway point
even if the robin returned early
or the groundhogs could not agree
it is what it is; boots and shovel time for me

as weary as I am of this…
digging my way to the morning paper
not having you home to help…
there must be seen a positive side
when spring finally arrives, glorious will be the ride

Part two:
http://juleslongerstrandsofgems.wordpress.com/2014/02/18/chilled-and-stirred/

a splash of dawn

a splash of dawn

working out of doors
by the light of the setting moon
and the beginning of dawn

just a little bit of debris
collected, not too many leaves
as there are so few left

the ducks were down
by the large bend in the creek
avoiding the frozen crust

not too many lights on
at least from the back yard side
at such an early hour

making time for myself
before my little visitors arrive
bringing their own sunshine
