A-Z for April 2016 L wp

Unofficial A-Z challenge 2016
(On Sundays – still using Kipfer’s book for inspiration for Instant or Just Karma)

“Now is the Time : 170 Ways to Seize the Moment”
By Patrick Lindsay
Now is the time …: to enjoy the day.

“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count
It’s the life in your years.” – Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

Weighing the Whole

Seemingly on a roller coaster
Circular are the highs and lows,
From the moment we are born –
Calendars mark our days
Seasons too revolve –
Can you make your
Hopes more than
Passing
Dreams?

A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables,
the second line eight syllables, the third line seven syllables, etc…
until line nine that finishes with one syllable.

(With quotes by famous folks
Whose last names start with the alphabet
Or at least have those ‘tricky letters’ –
U, Q, X & Y in them)

Karma is cause and effect. Dharma means cosmic law.
Yoga is enlightenment through movement and Tao is the
practice of acting in harmony with the fundamental essence
of everything you encounter.

Note: My haiku (or other forms) are my interpretations
or of how I might put the inspirational sentence
into practice, for me. Also, I am going in my own order.

One can accumulate many things,
accomplish much and acquire accolades –
spending time with those who
really care must count

take time when shopping to browse-
be ready to help
