Fortune: A conclusion is simply the place where you got tired of thinking.

northern exposure

frozen in space and
time; this winter the only
conclusion is “cold”

At about 9 am… With 9 F or -13 C and a wind 17 mph… one might add ‘darned’ to ‘cold’.

I already wrote this piece and it sort of fits this challenge. Though I have these two words: Winter and Cold.

(g) LIGHT; Creeking… (Shadorma series) (12.29)

“In nature, light creates the color. In the picture, color creates the light.”
Hans Hofmann

LIGHT; Creeking…
(Shadorma series)

Frigid air
First created a
Light crust there
On the banks –
Of ice; thickening slowly
To then connect

A good sign –
the water is clean
Enough to
Freeze – though not
Thick enough for skates to glide
Still too very cold…

Overnight,
Almost dipping to
A single
Digit, a
Slow rise to fourteen at eight –
hours after dawn

Note: we were supposed to get to 10 F (-12 C) last night. It is supposed
to warm up enough for some snow today. Looking forward to 32 F (zero C)!
