Native Wisdom 4

Dust ?
Many beliefs have similar concepts.
Believing in justice for the injustices
that seem to plague humanity.

You dare me
To wish, not knowing, caring
About my pain

Since you refuse to listen to mine and will
not share your own, how can you proclaim
To be both judge and jury?

Can the slate
Be cleaned of your spoken
Chalk like words

I have to believe that my deserts will be
fair by the Force that allows me to live in
and enjoy simple moments.

(Free verse and Collum Lunes)

We were taught to believe that the Great Spirit sees and
Hears everything, and that he never forgets; that the hereafter
he will give every man a spirit-home according to his deserts…
This I believe, and all my people believe the same.

what you do not see
(Collom Lunes sandwich an Elfje)

the horizon curves
the straight path; is not
a simple direction

I
Marvel at
How you twist
The truth that you
See.

I have to
back away from your sharp
edged wagging tongue

recess?

there arrives moments
when the light in one’s

we can do,
be anything or just chill
without any explanations

our obligations fulfilled
we can jump, dance or
read a book

Some Array
(Collom Lune series)

Breakfast, errands about
Before a quiet day begins;
Taking it slow

Trading daffodil bulbs
For mushrooms and sesame seeds
A pleasant evening

Transition into night
Headache increases with weather change
Retire to rest

Midnight tolls and
Ghosts demand attention; “Look. Now!”
She actively screams

After due diligence
Putting the beast to bed…
The nightmares return

Guessing games taunt;
Surprises are not always good
Rattling one’s marrow

How responsible can
One be for another’s choices;
Divided by distance?

Unofficial A-Z challenge 2016

“Now is the Time : 170 Ways to Seize the Moment”
By Patrick Lindsay
Now is the time …:To choose freedom.

“The secret of happiness is freedom. The secret of freedom is courage.”
~ Thucydides (460 BCE – 404 BCE BCE=Before the Common Era)

Moral Code?

Courage
Can be
Inaction; no response
To attempts at goading
Gossip

I have, fortitude,
attitude, guts, glory; for
my own story

Happiness
Can be
Gained; overflowing joy,
Accepting that which is
Important

I have little
Regrets of what was; so
I progress forward

Freedom
Can be
Found in art;
Decorative words that bring
Awe
