BE23: The Mani

The gift waits for the seeker –
Gently using all their senses
To find a unique meaningful
Representation of their exploration
To share with another who was not there.

The gift is chosen for the recipient
Representing respect, remembrance
…And enticing research –

The gift resonates, hums with curiosity
Gently speaking to the totality of the whole
Bringing perhaps the good fortune
It represents to envelope, enfold,and
embolden the guidance that is within…

backyards, fields

better for monarchs

Note: There was an article in this weeks paper that bespoke of a study that showed milkweed by the road was hazardous to Monarch as well as other butterflies. So I cut down the plants in my front yard that were growing near the road. Joy is gained through knowledge – I will prevent at least some Monarchs from getting sick. While the link was not from my paper it basically said the same thing. I also read in related headings that for milkweed to be ‘safe’ it needs to be at least 50 feet from the road side.
