Love 16
Weights and Measures

One who is super sensitive
Seems to believe that the heart
Is indeed a magnifying glass

Those who deny that intuitive
Realm, may claim the heart is
Just a tool to be used

How can humanity address
both beliefs and thrive?
Can there be a happy medium?

“There are no little events with the heart.
It magnifies everything; it places in the same scales
the fall of an empire of fourteen years and the
dropping of a woman’s glove, and almost always
the glove weighs more than the empire”
-Honoré de Balzac (1799-1850)

  1. interesting quote and indeed, how true the weights and measures …. but the affairs of the heart are never an open book – even if it seems so – the heart rests in the shadows, living in darkness, beating light and energy ….. the breath of something we can never truly express for there are no words that can truly cleave its grand mystery

    lovely verses today Jules 🙂
