Love’s Life
(renga)

beating without sight
the heart depends on so much
of the bold body

the brain, the five senses and
honest human history

even while keeping
just a few tarnished secrets
of its’ very own

“That is where the golden knowledge is, the important parts,
Signs of danger, of safety, of what is within the heart.
Remember, all of us here, men and women, have three hearts,
One for all the world to see, one for their family and
One for themselves alone.”

  1. interesting quote you’ve made note of – quite rather like it – and this is a wonderful piece – I really am tripping, in a good way on the line “of the bold body” …. like how that stanza ends with this – it’s got that special “sumthin sumthin” …. and then moves onto the next part – yup, I’m sitting here with a very contented smile of deep appreciation here 🙂

    thank you 🙂
