Love 2
(free verse with some rhyme)

Annie did what she done best
With a gun, the west was won
Cupid done did the rest…
With bow and arrow just for fun

Butler’s traveled near and far
With Wild Bill and Chief Sitting Bull
Phoebe Ann didn’t take up much room
Filled hearts with awe with every ‘boom’.

Irving Berlin with the help of the Fields’
Made a fictional play
About Watanya Cicilla; Little Sure Shot
And that’s my piece for today…

“When a young man complains that a young lady has no heart,
It is pretty certain sign that she has his”

  1. This is a great piece – fun and light, and has a wonderful quality to it – very lyrical 🙂
