  1. We basically don’t answer the phone if we don’t recognize the number; we still get plenty of those calls. So irritating…that’ why I love this poetry grouping so much. It just captures the frustration of daily phone calls, JP. ~nan

    • 🙂 It’s warm today so I’m trying to play catch-up…
Hubby is playing golf! And I took about a 2 mile walk!
At least I made it to 50 miles..(yesterday), maybe not much more this month though.

  2. I see the telemarketers are on the rise again?

‘Tis the season to be troll-ly,
fah – la- la- la- la – la- la – la – lah!
Zip the credit and bank cards
    enjoy the folly –
fah – la- la- la- la – la- la -la – lah!
Dawn we now our frowning sorrow,
fah-la-la-la-la -la- la -la – lah!
    Unplug the phone until tomorrow
fah – la- la- la- la – la- la – la – lah!

Right, sorry, couldn’t overcome the drearies and an impending case of silliness 😉

    • Silliness is always welcome. I just don’t answer the phone unless I know who it is. For a while there we needed the land line plugged in – you know family gets annoyed when they can’t find you.
Though most of the time when I am out with my ‘cell’ I only put it on when I need it. I’m not quite ready to go land-line-less.

(I can only get so far with ‘tracking’ – the box should be arriving soon I hope that might help the drearies.)

      • I’d walk over to the mailbox but it’s like -4F feeling like -6F …. which is too cold on exposed skin … wind blowing …. brrr. Tomorrow should be a better day for it …. warmer and snow snow snow!

Of course, sometimes it is better to not unplug the phone, never know when someone is truly needing to reach you – best advised to just follow your normal course of action 😉

        • No worries. It was unfairly cold here too…about -8 C/16 F up to -3 C / 26 F morning and mid day. Now it’s between those two temps. With a messy mix starting at midnight…to total 4 inches (if) due our way.

          • Yup, you will be getting the mix apparently, whereas where I am, it will just be the straight snow …. so it’ll be a white holiday season, even as thankfully, the temperatures will rebound!

It’s already snowing …. and it’s warmer, so if we bundle up, we can always go out and chase snowflakes 😉

hope the weather is better and warmer today – play safely and stay cozy 🙂

    • Which is why I don’t answer most numbers I don’t recognize. I let my answering machine pick up…most often they don’t leave a message. But I look ‘them’ up anyway 😉

It was interesting to read in some of the reviews yesterday that when a person pressed the correct number prompt to basically say ‘No thanks’ – a rep got on the line to ask “Why, not?” And then proceeded to be vulgar and rude. Can’t imagine that is a good way to do business – even for scammers.
