  1. Odd weather when forsythia blooms in November, but then we have irises that have bloomed in both the spring and the fall every year since we moved here. Haven’t noticed any blooming this fall, but….who knows, maybe it will happen yet this year. ~nan

    • I’ve had my forsythia bloom in December and January…They are close enough to water and I guess when the sun warms them just right – they bloom.
      Not as much as a spring bloom, but enough to notice yellow dots – sometimes without any leaves on the bush.

      Some bulbs do bloom late. Depends on animals (if they’ve eaten them) or if they have made it through a really cold winter.
