Ik 384
yesterday and this morning

five fleeting seconds…
to see the heron landing
long strides to shelter?

the wooded area, there
at the end of the backyard

or to hunt rising
waters of the gully, there
swelled with summer rain

  1. Another visit! How wonderful – definitely a sight in flight to be appreciated – how captivating 🙂

And the feasting? Well, perhaps it cuts back on the human feasting, but hey, we all have to eat 😉

Lovely verses this morning – hope you have a wonderful day Jules 🙂

    • I had gotten my share of dill…I took some of the flower heads and had dried them. So the swallowtails can have the rest. It looks a tad woody now, the dill.
If I cut the dead parts will it come back or is it done for the season? I’ll not disturb the plant until the caterpillars are done. Maybe though I’ll stick the parsley I’ve yet to transplant into that pot.
The younger has swallowtail visitors on his parsley plants 🙂

Nice bit of rain the other day…some damage to others with downed trees. But since the rain has stopped the humidity is back. Maybe we’ll catch another movie 😉
