Ik 381 for June 2016 wp

Ik 381
patience; a virtue
( haibun)

Today’s gift from Old Mother Willow; several butterflies,
damselfly and assorted bugs. The bonus; a pair of
playful otter swimming across the creek and climbing
up the homemade wooden fence as seen through
a pair of binoculars – from where I sat barely breathing.

Otter delightful
swimming, climbing to and fro;
summer afternoon

Inspired by: Learn to wait; once you can wait,
you can do almost anything.
Karma is cause and effect. Dharma means cosmic law.
Yoga is enlightenment through movement and Tao is the
practice of acting in harmony with the fundamental essence
of everything you encounter.

Note: My haiku (or other forms) are my interpretations
or of how I might put the inspirational sentence
into practice, for me. Also, I am going in my own order.

haibun; prose and haiku

    • I remember the first time I saw one in the creek. I didn’t think they’d come this close to the city…suburbs. But my part of the creek has a tad bit of the wild side 🙂
