ik 352
(a haiku series)

left out in the rain
after so many years can
the rust be repaired?

the broken heart cries
after being abandoned
can old wounds be healed?

ruddy and muddled
emotions tumble and twist –
is silence enough?

Rust is named after the resulting phenomenon of the oxidation of iron.
The word ‘rust’ finds its etymological origins in the Proto-Germanic
word rusta, which translates to “redness.” The word is closely related
to the term “ruddy,” which also refers to a
reddish coloring in an object.

good fortune right now.
Karma is cause and effect. Dharma means cosmic law.
Yoga is enlightenment through movement and Tao is the
practice of acting in harmony with the fundamental essence
of everything you encounter.

Note: My haiku (or other forms) are my interpretations
or of how I might put the inspirational sentence
into practice, for me. Also, I am going in my own order.

  1. I colored in my adult coloring book and I used red and blues. The red was a sharpie and the only color to discribe it was blood red. I like this piece nice flow and the metaphors are great. I pictured locks on a chain link fence.
