Just Karma 8 for June 2015 wp

Just Karma 8

Adventure

early to Fort Hill;
serpentine trail going up
a doe waited to greet me
at the loop top there –
that alone was worth the climb;
five mile round trip, before nine

ŠJP/dh

A single Sedoka has six lines,
and the syllable count is 5,7,7,5,7,7

Note: Inspirational pieces on Instant Karma
may return with me in July

  1. Right – you are adventurous – and ambitious – all before 9 am! Well, I’d be suggesting a good foot rub about now 😉

    Lovely sight to greet one on a morning hike – meander up and down – in the stillness I presume? Lovely and spirit satisfying 🙂

    • Not to much traffic noise up there on the hill, more like a mountain.
      I did take some pics of the view, could see the hotel from up there too.
      There was sort of a visitor center and there were cars parked there – maybe forest rangers or park employees but it didn’t open until 11 am.
      And I wasn’t hanging around until then. There appears to be car (parking lot access) from the visitor center. If hubby ever gets off work before 7 pm before it closes I might get him to take us there. The park closes at dark. Sun is setting close to 8:30 pm or just even a tad later here.
