…peaceable slices…
CD GW 37 Georgia on Frost (12.9.)

Dust of Snow
Robert Frost, 1874 – 1963

The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree

Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.

*…peaceable slices…

water off a ducks back
an emotional treatise
once sorely lacked

yet I have acquired a
taste for peaceable slices

of the pie that is
all that makes up the filling
of this humble life
