False April

haiku
rare transparent march
saw thin grubs harrowing low
along with all life…
~~~~~
renga
rare transparent march
saw thin grubs harrowing low
along with all life…
winter’s oath could borrow not
the guess of summers’ warm sun
either soon spring must
quicken my cold hearts pace or
my marrow shall freeze
The words: either, harrowing, marrow, grubs, thin, oath,
saw, guess, rare, march, borrow, transparent
Note: Strange weather has been had by all. To say winter has lingered is an understatement.
And yet so soon towards April’s end with frost still nipping at our heels, blood flows…
and the frost is quick to melt.
Well Seasoned
haiku
wild berries grow
shoots of blacks and reds,
add sugar, get; jam
~~~~~

renga
wild berries grow
shoots of blacks and reds,
add sugar, get; jam

some planted, others gifted
so with the birds she will share

fruits born in the spring
grow in summer, delight fall –
cheer dark winter days

Average Glow-worm?

haiku
the sleeping dragon
nestles deep within our warmth
lays, calmly waiting

~~~~~
renga
the sleeping dragon
nestles deep within our warmth
lays, calmly waiting
green eyes reflecting ‘redly’
mischievous, always fun
strength awaits our grasp
let imagination run,
jump, bound high, then fly!
