A Month of Goodbyes #29

Goodbye to what passes for normal
When “Frankenstorm” Sandy headlines
Airports, public transit not operating
Schools closed for at least two days
And surprise – Some regular jobs have
Thought of their employees travel safety
And have also shut down.
The rain has started, but the winds have
Yet to make an appearance.
We’ve batten down the hatches
And now all we can do is wait….

Update: Heads Up Oct. 29, 2012

Update  Monday October 29, 2012
In some places schools, mass transit and even some unexpected employers have all shut down.  The rain has begun, the high winds are due by us later tonight and Tuesday. The prediction is the storm is going to stall right above us – in Pennsylvania, USA. Minimum winds of 45 up to 65 miles per hour, with flooding due to 10 plus inches of rain.  The power is still on for now…

Thanks all for your good thoughts.  And to everyone else in Hurricane Sandy’s path stay safe!

I will finish the Month of Goodbyes…I might post the pieces early…as I haven’t figured out the ‘post forward’ option.
