Especially when the path in unclear and we feel rejected
We often underestimate
Just how much of a load we can carry
We set our sails, rig the mast
Hoping for a forthright crew to assist
We find ‘hands’ at the most interesting ports

Yes, we do navigate through life, hoping always for the best,,,and reaching out for help sometimes,,,I love the way your expressed these needs we have and how we try to meet them,,,
Lovely and meaningful poem! “We find ‘hands’ at the most interesting ports” really grabbed my attention as I have found that my favorite friends have been made unintentionally. They are the ones who have reached out to me despite no obvious common ground, and then we’ve found that we are kindred spirits after all. Now, as some of them are in a deep, dark valley I am reaching out to them as they had to me… We really do need each other for ‘balance’.
