Five Moon Elfje
Just Waxing…
old
mother’s one
blind pearl eye
looked towards me, gifting
blessings
mostly
clear, clouds
become silver lashless
lids, to one single
eye
hawk,
owl, wolf
angelic observer watches
keeps us guessing at
who?
look!
she says;
almost full moon
stares at you, be
respectful.
goddess
lost a
single pearl bead
found it in the
sky

love the mythical connotations in this piece! particularly enjoyed
“silver lashless
lids, to one single
eye”
pearl eye
I have never seen perl eyes!
Hey girl miss you!
I like this very much, especially the last stanza
“goddess
lost a
single pearl bead
found it in the
sky” What a lovely thought,,,
I love those lines too.
This is beautiful Jules. I love the way you use the Elfje form to make longer poems.
